Holly

Hi everyone!

I want to take a moment and introduce myself, and tell you all a little bit about the heart behind the Miss Red Apple Days pageant. But first, can I just say how excited I am to have each and every one of you, and your families participating in our program this year. It has been such a joy talking with, and getting to know many of you over the last the couple of weeks. Then, when a few photogenic pictures started rolling in, what a treat to be able to start putting some truly beautiful faces together with the names! In such a short amount of time you all have blessed me more than you can know! I am sincerely honored to be your pageant director.

My name is Holly Sylvester, and I have been in and around the pageant industry since I was 15 years old. Beginning as a contestant, and then a title holder, pageant staff, and now a director and a certified judge. I love pageants, but mostly I love the opportunity to see a girl grow into an accomplished, confident young lady right before my eyes. It’s an amazing thing to witness, but even better when you get to be a part of it. That's what pageants did for me, and that is what I hope for all of the contestants who compete in Miss Red Apple Days for years to come.

Many of you are aware that the Red Apple Days festival is the single biggest fundraiser, and means of support for the Auburntown Volunteer Fire Dept. It is the very thing that sustains and keeps that department, up and running. So we thought it fitting that if the festival was in support of these hometown heroes, who give so much without asking anything in return, that their representatives should be much more than just a beautiful group of girls. They should be young ladies who can speak with confidence, who are poised, and beautiful, sure. But who are also giving, selfless, and kind. They are girls who would be delighted to come out to fire department events and fundraisers during the year of their reign, to help serve food, or sign autographs. A young lady who would give of herself, and her time, for the ones who offer up their own safety to protect this community. That is Miss Red Apple Days! That is what this is all about. As such we have chosen our required queen's competitions to showcase not just physical beauty, but also confidence, and inner beauty.

To compete for the title of Miss Red Apple Days, young ladies will be divided up according to age group, and judged on three different areas of competition. They are as follows:
